Vienna: Austria's densest restaurant market — and its least patient.

Nowhere else in Austria are so many buyers this close together. That shortens the routes and sharpens the expectation of punctuality.

What the market looks like here

Vienna's food wholesale has clustered for decades around the wholesale market in Inzersdorf in the 23rd district. Businesses there and nearby often serve several dozen restaurants per route, within delivery windows set by kitchen opening times rather than by the warehouse.

On top of that sits an unusually broad ethnic food segment: Turkish, Balkan, Asian and Arabic ranges run at a depth only cities with this migration history know. For the warehouse that means many articles, many pack sizes and a team that rarely speaks only one language.

Inner-city delivery adds its own arithmetic: narrow access, short stopping options and returns nobody wants to drive twice. A mispicked line here costs not only goods but a second trip through traffic.

How we cover this location

We reach Vienna the same day. Kickoff and training happen in your warehouse, usually across two appointments; after that support runs by phone and remotely.
